生平简介
宋仁宗天圣八年(1030年)进士,为福州候官尉。
皇佑四年(1052年),知华亭(上海)县。
至和元年(1054年),徒审刑院详议官,累迁太常博士。
嘉佑三年(1058年)二月擢秘阁校理。三月改右正言,又迁右司谏、谏院供职,复上疏请择宗室子以备储副。既又言:"开宝诏书,内侍年三十,听养一子为嗣,并以名上宣徽院,违者抵死。比年此禁益弛,夭绝人理,阴累圣嗣,愿诏大臣明示旧製,上顺天意,以绥福佑。"帝嘉纳之。五月,上疏言:"太宗朝尝给三司判官御前印纸历子,令批书课绩。今其书虽存,而无考校之法。请自今,岁终案功过而升黜之。"诏以及所言录示三司使张方平。管勾国子监,以劲正着称。
后终因敢于直言而遭排斥,出为工部员外郎。知庐州,进户部,直昭文馆,知桂州。
嘉佑七年(1062年),卒。
藏书整理
字几道。通州静海(今江苏南通)人。17岁以进士起家,为候官尉。嘉佑三年(1058),始擢秘阁校理,不数月,改右正言。曾上疏请择官职,分校馆阁图书,并向全国各地征求遗书。嘉佑四年(1059)正式上表说:"近年用内臣掌管图书库,久不更,借出书籍,亡失已多,又简编脱落,书史补写不精,请选官职三两人,分馆阁吏人编写书籍。"二月,批準奏请,遂置馆阁编订书籍官。以秘阁校理蔡抗、陈襄、集贤校理苏颂、馆阁校勘陈绎等人,分史馆、昭文馆、集贤院、秘阁而编次检校之。嘉佑七年(1062)三月,又召参知政事欧阳修提举三馆秘阁写校书籍。此次编校国家所藏图籍,规模巨大,历时数年,后直昭文馆,在职以劲直称。出知贵州卒。
