科研综述
吴立新长期从事大洋环流基本理论、海-气相互作用和气候年代际变化、海洋环流与气候系统数值模拟方面的研究, 发现了20世纪全球大洋副热带西边界流区“热斑”现象,系统阐述了副热带环流在太平洋气候年代际及长期变化中的作用机理;提出了利用Argo浮标观测计画来定量揭示全球海洋混合的新途径,将海洋混合研究推向了全球尺度和季节以上的时间变化尺度;阐明了热盐环流变异影响热带海-气过程的动力学路径,揭示了北大西洋年代际变化模态是海-气耦合模态。作为首席科学家主持承担了国家深海大洋973项目、科技部全球变化重大研究计画项目、基金委创新群体等项目。
