令她惊异的是，坎特拉高中的所有师生都认识她，对她十分友好，六位陌生女孩甚至与她亲密地搭肩。而在学术比赛前后，不断有魔法能量肆意涌出，被吸纳进她电磁仪中。在运动竞技中，电磁仪中的魔法被意外释放，魔法裂缝中的怪异生物在运动场上肆意横行，险些造成人员伤亡。对校的女孩Sunset Shimmer对她的这种行为感到十分气愤，希望她“不要随意研究自己一无所知的东西”。

但在最后一项比赛中，在自己好奇心的驱使和水晶预科学院参赛师生的蛊惑下，她再次打开电磁仪，当然她并没有準备好迎接这些全新的魔法，她很快就被强大的魔法能量吞噬并由此堕落成了Midnight Sparkle,自私地想要撕裂这一个世界以占有小马国(Equestria)的所有魔法。最终Sunset Shimmer靠友谊魔法变身成为Daydream Shimmer击败了Midnight Sparkle并劝说她回心转意。此后Twilight放弃了去埃弗顿独立研究计画的愿望转学来到坎特拉高中以学习她所不了解的东西——友谊。

Twilight拥有一条叫做Spike的狗，它因为被魔法击中而会说话。

在第四部Legend of Everfree中获得了全新的变身形态和魔法。

为了与来自小马国的Twilight Sparkle区分开来，马迷更多的时候叫她Sci-Twi（Scientist Twilight（科学家暮暮）的简称）。

余晖烁烁

来自小马国的Sunset Shimmer原是一匹红黄相间鬃毛，橙黄色身体的独角兽，可爱标誌是一个红黄相间的太阳。曾就读于天才独角兽学院，法力高强的她想要获得更多的权利而被导师Princess Celestia放逐。她一意孤行，跳进了水晶魔镜穿越到了人类世界，从此就踏上了一条不归之路。在秋舞会上被来自小马国的Twilight Sparkle和她的朋友们利用友谊魔法打败，自此洗心革面。音乐节上用魔法笔记本召唤回了小马Twilight并和朋友们联手击碎了邪恶的海妖的魔咒，第二部结尾她加入了主角们的乐队Rainboom。

在友谊大赛中她作为坎特拉高中的参赛代表，想要控制魔法，不让它在比赛中出现否则就会被判作弊，自己尝试无果求助于小马Twilight也无回信，因此她想要穿越回小马国寻求小马Twilight的帮助，却被一旁的人类Twilight吸走了传送门的魔法使其关闭。她多次想找人类Twilight要回魔法但始终没有结果，而Twilight的电磁仪接二连三地吸走了六位女孩体内的友谊魔法。在人类Twilight储存（或说偷窃）的魔法威胁到朋友们的生命时，她忍无可忍地朝着Twilight大吼大叫，希望她希望她“不要随意研究自己一无所知的东西”，但这一过激的举动伤害到了Twilight，她对此深感愧疚。

在最后一项比赛中，她曾试图阻止Twilight打开电磁仪释放魔法但最终为时已晚。在躲避Midnight Sparkle的雷射束时无意间捡到了Twilight落下的电磁仪，她靠它重新收集朋友们的友谊魔法并变身为Daydream Shimmer击败了Midnight Sparkle并劝说她回心转意。她终于明白了魔法产生的原因——每个人在展现各自所代表的元素是就会小马化(Pony Up)。最终接纳了Twilight并与其成为好友。

在第四部Legend of Everfree中获得了全新的变身形态和魔法。

云宝

生存于人类世界的Rainbow Dash是坎特拉高中的一名学生，并且担当学校中所有校队的队长。她勇敢直率，男孩子气却偶尔有些傲娇，是个十足的假小子。她踢足球的技术高超精湛，可谓百发百中，在第一部中曾被Sunset Shimmer挑拨离间好友AppleJack分离，在Twilight的帮助下重归于好，并帮助Twilight当上了秋舞会的公主并将Sunset打败。在音乐节上担任乐队“Rainbom”的吉他手，协助Twilight击败了海妖。

在友谊大赛中她作为坎特拉高中的参赛代表，由于同学们一直在以往比赛中处于下风而垂体丧气，为了重振同学们的士气，她与坎高鼓乐团合作演唱了CHS Rally Song，使得伙伴们重新振作起来，积极準备着参赛。在运动竞技中，接二连三的怪异生物的出现使得赛场大乱，Sunset在躲避怪物之时不慎从机车上摔落，而另一旁的怪物正伺机而动，要攻击Sunset时，Rainbow挺身而出，拯救Sunset的同时自己也“小马化”，长出了马耳朵和翅膀。然而她的魔法不久后被Twilight的电磁仪吸去。

在Twilight堕落时她为Sunset提供了“忠诚”的魔法能量，使Sunset成功击败Twilight。最终接纳了Twilight并与其成为好友。

在第四部Legend of Everfree中获得了全新的变身形态和魔法。
