剧情：
在巡迴的过程中，威廉一方面要和乐团的成员发展友谊，一方面又得维持报导的中立性。通过和资深摇滚乐迷潘妮连恩以及乐团灵魂吉他手罗素之间的相处，他目睹了摇滚乐手对音乐的执着，对成名的渴求，对自我的陷溺，对性和毒品的疯狂，也目睹了整个年轻世代的挣扎和迷失，希望从音乐中得到救赎。这个旅程成了他的心灵之旅，他看清了世界，也找到了自己。

·导演Cameron Crowe作为滚石杂誌年轻乐评人的Cameron Crowe在他15岁时曾经为该杂誌撰写过一篇关于新晋乐队YES 的文章。
·导演的妻子，是80年代红极一时的Heart (红心合唱团)的团员Nancy Wilson。
·为了增加影片的真实性，传奇乐评人莱斯特·邦斯也被请进了电影。
·从未在原声带中献声的Led Zeppelin (齐柏林飞船)也冲着导演Cameron Crowe的面子首度献上'69年经典曲《That's The Way》。
