1. Organic/Medicinal chemistry: Design and synthesis of new imaging and therapeutic agents targeted on cancer and microbial pathogens. 2. Peptide chemistry: Development of novel linkers for solid phase peptide synthesis. 3. Pharmaceutical Chemistry: Design and synthesis of novel prodrugs of peptides and peptide mimetics aimed at enhancing their bioavailability and target selectivity; design and synthesis of substrates for the intestinal small peptide transporter as potential vectors for drug delivery. 4. Bioorganic chemistry/molecular recognition: Development of fluorescent sensors for the recognition and analysis of molecules of biological importance.
工作经历
1982年毕业于北京医科大学(现北京大学医学部)药物化学系获学士学位.1991年在美国堪萨斯大学药学院药化系获博士学位。1991年-1993年 美国亚利桑那大学化学系和堪萨斯大学药学院药物化学系进行博士后研究工作。1994年受聘俄克拉荷马大学医学中心药学院助理教授1996年受聘北卡罗莱纳州立大学化学系助理教授，2000年任终身教授。2003年7月，受聘乔治亚州立大学化学系教授及乔治亚研究联合会药物研究领域杰出学者2007年4月，受聘教育部长江学者讲座教授
